All products are developed by the L&B engineers. Based on more than 30 years’ experience as active skydivers, in depth knowledge in barometric pressure sensors and microprocessor technology, the L&B Team has the ultimate platform to build the best and most suitable products for all jumpers.
Part of the production is outsourced to sub-contractors and a close relationship ensures high quality during all stages of the production.
When electronic circuit boards arrive at the L&B premises a visual inspection is performed in two steps:
General visual verification that the soldering quality and component placement are according the specifications. One or more circuit boards from each panel of 6-9 boards are checked under a powerful microscope to further verify the soldering quality and other parameters.
Upon completion of the visual inspection any components such as LCD displays, backlights, special connectors, motors a.o. are then manually mounted if this work has not already been done at the sub-contractor’s place.
When finished, each panel with circuit boards is mounted on a sophisticated automatic testing stand where the microprocessors are loaded with software and parameters such as current comsumption and pressure sensor modules specs are controlled.
The circuit board is then put in the casing where a mechanical control procedure is performed ensuring that the casings snap correctly into place.
Finally, batteries are installed and functioning of control buttons is verified.
A random pick of units from each finished batch is then taken for additional inspection and testing in pressure chamber to verify that all tolerances are within specifications.
Additional functional tests are performed before packaging and shipping to the distributors.
